Sweet sorghum syrup was the predominant table sweetener and flavorant of early America, before being displaced by processed white sugar around 1900. Made from the juice extracted from the sweet sorghum cane (not to be confused with grain sorghum or 'Milo'). Delta BioRenewables has re-introduced this healthful heritage product in a new crystalline sugar form. Sorghum Syrup Brown Sugar is made in the same way as supermarket brown sugar, but using all-natural sorghum syrup, rather than molasses. The result is a unique crystalline sugar product with the rich distinctive flavor of sorghum syrup. Golden-colored Sorghum Syrup Brown Sugar has the sweetness of cane sugar, but without the bitterness of molasses.
